While you are in a state of hypnosis, you are completely focused to the point that you are unaware of all of your surroundings. Sometimes the media can portray hypnotherapy and hypnosis as something completely preposterous. This is not the case because all hypnotherapy requires is complete concentration of the human mind. The first step of hypnotherapy is for you to be as relaxed as possible. Find the most comfortable chair that you own and get yourself to the point of relaxation where you feel as though you can fall asleep but keep your eyes open. Starting from the bottom of your body, which you be your feet, tighten and relax every muscle. Practice this with all of your bodily muscles up to your head. This is because hypnotherapy requires your body to be fully relaxed. For hypnosis to occur, practice calmly breathing deeply. Inhale deeply into the nose and exhale fully out through the mouth. Be aware of all of your surroundings. Your mind should be very alert for the process of hypnotherapy in order for the required concentration to take place. Although hypnosis wants you to be relaxed, you must be fully aware of everything around you. When you are sitting in that comfortable chair, close your eyes and absorb all of the things that are going on through your senses.
Hypnotherapy really offers no limits and that’s where the fun of it resides. Hypnosis has the potential to truly heighten your senses. Hypnotherapy will make you more aware of how high your wall is, how it feels to take those deep breaths, and what types of surroundings submerge which of your senses. Try to sustain and preserve this mental state you are currently in. You are at your most centered focused state of mind and the hypnosis will be very effective at this point. Hypnosis can be used to overcome whatever it is you had wanted to overcome and also control whatever you had wanted to control. All you need in order to practice hypnosis for fun will be some patience, perseverance, and some desire. With these qualities you will have no trouble with hypnotherapy.
